Denial of Stalking

Nov 07, 2011 15:49

So, yeah. This was originally supposed to be a drabble on Atobe being in denial of stalking Fuji... But, it decided to evolve.

Beware, much OOCness inside!

If I get in the mood, I'll write out the date between Fuji and Atobe.
-------
Atobe wouldn't say that he was obsessed with Fuji, persay. It was simply curiosity, an interest in the tensai. He would never do something so plebeian such as getting obsessed with another person. Why would he do that when it was obvious that he could get anyone he wanted by using his own charm? He simply wished to observe the genius... And he was definitely not stalking him!

Because Hyotei had their own genius, and he knew that tensais would immediately notice if someone was following them around... Which he was obviously not doing! Ore-sama had no reason to skulk around like a creep when he could obviously attract whom he was interested in like flies to honey!

... Or maybe not. Ducking when Fuji's sharp gaze turned to where he had once been, Atobe sighed in relief as the other turned back to what he was doing. It seemed that the tensai had not noticed that Atobe of all people was following him around, just that there was something out of place. It had been a good thing he had not been spotted, or else he would have been confronted with questions that even he could not answer.

Because, why would he, the great Atobe heir of the Atobe Corporations need to follow a commoner around? One that was admittedly beautiful and elegant, but nonetheless, a commoner who knew nothing of the upper society. Though the graceful way that Fuji moved would be fitting for his spouse- But no! He could not let his mind wander in that direction! What would his father say if he took a male for a lover?

But! While his mind had been on other things, he would never say that his mind had been wandering, Fuji had started to leave the area. With a glint in his eyes, Atobe made to follow to tensai, until there was a cough behind him.

Nearly jumping- No, he did not jump! Atobe whirled around to meet the glint of glasses and "Ii data." How dare someone take data on him! And was that Inui, from Seigaku? Paling when he realized that he had been caught watching, no observing, one of the people from Seigaku, he forced himself not to blush indignantly (Or so he told himself, the blush that had threatened to appear was anything but indignant)

"Ore-sama did not give you the permission to take his data," sniffed Atobe haughtily, masking the jumpiness that he was feeling.

Not replying, but instead scribbling down into his notebook some unknown data, Inui ignored the prideful reply of Atobe, preffering to scribble down notes on how the other acted.  'Hm... 76% that he is interested in Fuji like Mizuki Hajime is... That inferior data tennis player.'

"How dare you ignore Ore-sama!" cried Atobe loudly, forgetting the fact that he was... erm... Following Fuji around.

"Saa... What's this?" came Fuji's silky voice from right behind him. "What are you doing with Inui, Atobe?"

Stiffening in surprise, Atobe turned around to meet blue eyes gazing at him... Not in their usual lidded gaze. The open eyes seemed to be analyzing him, searching for a reason why he would be so close by. Hmph, as if he would let another person take notes on his behavior. "Ore-sama simply ran into him while out shopping!"

"In a park? Why, were you perhaps looking to buy the whole ice cream cart over there? Surely that's what you mean by shopping, ne?"

Sweating as he realized that they were in a park, and that there were no stores of his level in the area, Atobe looked at the tensai, before replying, "Of course! I felt a craving for sweets, and while I was out for a walk, decided to buy some!"

"Why, I thought that you were out shopping... Atobe."

"... Ore-sama was, until he decided that shopping in such plebeian stores was boring, and decided to walk around!"

"87% chance that Atobe is lying, Fuji. I found him following you around, with a 76% chance that he has an interest in you like Mizuki Hajime."

"Saa, is that so? And that isn't that person's name... I believe it's Mitsuki... Or was it Mituli?"

"Nfufufu, I believe you've forgotten my name, again." Snapped Mizuki, jumping out from behind a nearby tree. Twirling his hair around his finger, he walked closer, a smug smile on his face. "The name of your greatest rival, in fact."

"Ii data... It seems that Mizuki has managed to delude himself into believing that he is your greatest rival... Though perhaps it's because he is infatuated with you, Fuji?"

"I'm sorry... What was your name again?"

"It's Mitsu-! Mizuki!"

"Saa, so it's Mitsu, is it? Well, Mitsu, I believe that I have no interest in you and the way you would dare use Yuuta. I suppose I should get rid of you soon... Especially the way you seem to be tricking my little brother into staying at St. Rudolph. I believe he could flourish much better at Seigaku." stated Fuji pleasantly, reaching for a photo album and a black pen. "Hmm... When should I get rid of you?"

"Aniki! Put your hitlist away!" cried Yuuta, running towards the group. Panting at how quickly he had had to run once he had heard gossip from a reliable source that the hitlist was out, and how Mizuki was the target this time, Yuuta glared at Fuji. "I thought you said you had burned your hitlist!"

"Oh did I? I did do so... But, you see, this is the new one. I only said I'd burn the old hitlist."

"Aniki, you know what I meant!"

"Saa... But I didn't want to..." pouted Fuji, giving Yuuta a watery, blue eyed look in hopes of preventing his brother from telling him to burn this new hitlist.

Blushing a bit at the sight of his brother having such innocent looking eyes that seemed to beg you, and would pierce you to the soul, haunting you with their sad look, Yuuta couldn't help but relent. Surprised when raspberry pie was suddenly shoved into his hands, he looked at Fuji with a questioning look.

"Nee-san wants you to come home today!"

"... Fine" he stated before running off, this time, dragging Mizuki with him. There was no way he was going to let his friend get killed by his brother!

Sulking at the fact that he hadn't gotten anything from Fuji, and the fact there were others so close to the tensai, Atobe couldn't help but pout. How did other plebeians know the genius, yet he could only follow the other?

"Atobe, you look rather upset."

"Ahn? Ore-sama would never look upset. Isn't that right, Kabaji?", the call for Kabaji slipping out before he remembered that he hadn't brought the other male along with this... Stalking trip.

"Saa, I believe that your Kabaji isn't here with you... So, why were you stalking me?"

"I was not stalking you!'

"He was stalking you because he finds a potential love interest in you."

"Is that so? Well, Inui, care to tell me why you were also following me?

"It was time for my weekly trip."

"Oh, that's rather disturbing... You stalk me weekly, Inui?"

A faint blush on his cheeks, Inui's glasses had their magical glint, covering up the embarassed look in his eyes. He had been stalking the tensai for more data... The little data that he had gathered on the genius had proven useless before, so he had had to start from scratch.

"Well, I believe that Atobe and I have something to discuss. If you would please leave?"

Mumbling an inaudible, "Ii data" upon hearing that Fuji wanted Atobe to go with him, Inui fled the scene. He had no wish to face the tensai's wrath, especially since he had admitted to stalking the other every week.

"Well, Atobe, want to go on a date with me?"

"WHAT!?" screeched Atobe, his face flushing. He hadn't expected Fuji to move so quickly that he would be surprised. "I mean, of course Ore-sama would love to."

"Saa, that's good. Then, shall we go?"

Grabbing Atobe and dragging him off, Fuji smiled at the thought of all the things he could force the diva to do... Sending a shiver up Atobe's spine, an omen of what was to come.
