The N word

I've just realized I'm normal. I will have a normal job (something essentially useless), normal entertainment (TV and junk novels), etc... I am not a character in a novel. I really don't like that prospect. But what can you do?

Develop a mental disorder. That's not so easy to do, though. The easiest thing to do is to hang around with a bunch of ADHD and bipolar people until you develop an anxiety-related disorder.

And remember: it's not literature until someone dies. It might be a good thing, not being a character in a novel.

I worry all the time already. Does that count? :D

I bow to English-major-wit. Though I've realized--part of the pull of novels and television is simply the passive observation of someone else's life, and I'm not sure I want to be a spectator in my own life. Sort of defeats the purpose, no?
