To breathe, to sing, everything. No wonder I've been having problems singing. No wonder I've had posture problems, energy problems, what have you. It's because I grew up lying on my left side all the time (reading), and neglected the use of that lung ( Read more... )

One lung? How is this possible?

On the other hand, my lungs are so bad that combined they probably equal one lung. Maybe. Stupid asthma.

As a literal statement, this is probably inaccurate. However, the idea helps me with my posture and my breathing, and prevents me at least in part from straining my throat (which I do all the time, and is painful). So it's a good thing. :)

When I was a kid, I lay on my side all the time to read books. So I got out of the habit of breathing (much) with that side.
