The zombie costume went very well. I got some good feedback, and since I decided I might be able to pull it off, I had only worked on it for about ten minutes of testing and an hour of putting it together. Not bad for pale skin, dark eyes, multiple realistic open sores with upraised skin, a bloody mouth and torn clothing

Also on the torn sleeve, I know it's not easy to do, but you need to find a way to make it look more like it was torn, rather than attacked with scissors. If it was a dress shirt (i.e. fabric not containing polyester), it would tear a lot easier... but T-shirts are hard to tear when they haven't been seriously worn out...
