YES! I haven't read a good Batman Beyond fic in ages (or a bad one, actually), and I just plain loved this! I plain love Dana, and I always thought she was treated unfairly during the running of the show. It's good to see fic where she isn't written as an ignorant bitch of her own accord.

Thank you!

I always felt like Dana got the short end of the stick, too (maybe not as much as Max, but regardless), but I always got the impression she knew what was up. Not the full extent of it, but she always seemed to understand that whatever was going on was more than just a job for Terry - it's obviously tough to be tolerant and forgiving all the time in a situation like hers, but she really cut Terry a lot of slack, and she even implied a few times that she understood it to be a bigger deal than an after-school job. Sooo...yeah, basically, I just wanted to write her really demonstrating that and not being totally shafted by the plot department. /rambles

Oh. My. God. Everything about this. IS AWESOME!

I started grinning at the first conversation between Terry and Bruce, and my face was hurting by the time I finished.

Bruce finished up his stitching and sat back. He looked at Terry, stern and disquietingly thoughtful, for a long time. At long last, he said, "You rehearsed that."

"Six times," said Terry. "In front of a mirror. And I meant every single word of it."

Terry being emotionally well-balanced! Rehearsing his arguments! I feel like there are so many facets of his personality, and various points in the fic just capture them so well. This is exactly exactly exactly something he would do.

He was pretty sure Bruce made a noise of acknowledgment, but that could have been the dog.

I just liked this line.

Terry felt like he actually belonged at one of these things - felt like he blended in to the crowd of successful men and women who frequented upscale social gatherings and cut enormous checks in the name of the latest Wayne-Powers fundraising event. He felt like how he ( ... )

The expectant gaze lingered. If you're waiting for me to express interest, it seemed to say, you'll be waiting a long time.

"One: I just got back from having the best sex of my young but storied life. Don't give me that look; it's relevant. Two: Dana and I are now 100% official. Three, and this one probably could have come first: Dana knows I'm Batman." Here, he paused, waiting for a reaction. None came. He pressed on. "Four, in which number one becomes significant, because you learn the most fascinating things during pillow talk: My girlfriend thinks you're distinguished."

Bruce eyebrow!communication! *Four Points of Interest* oh Terry I love you!

"That's girl code for 'I kind of want to hook up with your boss, but I don't want you to feel threatened'," Terry clarified ( ... )

Man, I am blushing over here. You totally made my week, you know that? I can't tell you how awesome it is to have your generous praise, good sir and/or madam. :D

I'm really glad that you liked the fight scene and some of Bruce's dialogue, in particular, because those were the hardest parts for me to write (I don't usually do action scenes and good lord but Bruce is one complex old bastard). It's also nice to see that Terry being the surprisingly well-rounded twip he is came through, too - and I'll definitely remember to add more Ace next time. You can never have too much Bat-dog!

Yes! This was beautiful. I absolutely love the way you wrote them all, Dana especially.

Thanks! Dana kind of surprised me with how hard to write she is, let me tell you.
