Fri 5.4mi (1:06)
Sat 8mi (1:05) tm
Sun 9.1mi (1:51)

Total: 56.1 miles

The weather was good for the most part. On Wednesday I was thinking about maybe hitting 60 miles the week, but on Friday it became clear that it just was not a realistic plan. Still great to be over 50 miles.

Alright, no intentional miles this past week. But I did get at least 6k steps a day everyday so I'm taking that as a win, considering I hadn't yet been "officially" cleared to get back at it. But I was today at my podiatrist appointment!

So my goals for this coming week is to start off slow. Gradually increase my steps daily, walk at least a mile tomorrow to start the new year off strong. My goal is to get in at least 3.1 miles in one sitting by the 12th. I signed up for the NY Road Runners New Years 5k which has to be done between the first and the 12th. My podiatrist also cleared me to train for the half marathon I'm registered for in less than 11 weeks, so starting Monday I'm following a 10 week beginners training plan. I'm also doing an 8 week workout program that incorporates mobility, strength, and endurance training, which I started yesterday.

Sorry so long. I'm just so excited to be cleared officially!

6k per day is a big win, considering everything. Well done!

Definitely would make sense to start very gradually and very carefully. Good luck with the 5k! I think it's a good goal to build to 3.1 miles.

Great news that you are officially cleared to train for the half marathon! 11 weeks is not a lot of time to train, but still quite reasonable, I think it can be done
