I'm 35 weeks pregnant now; only one more month to go.  I can't wait to get this baby out of me.  My feet are swollen to about twice their normal size and I have to literally shove them into my shoes in the morning.  I feel like one of those fat women on the bus with swollen feet who have to wear beige orthopedic shoes.  The only shoes I'll fit into

So you're going to work a week up until your due date??? I got to give you credit. I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet, but are you planning on going back afterwards?

I'm pretty sure I'll go back afterwards, as I don't think I'd make a great stay at home mom and I'd be hard-pressed to find as good a job elsewhere with my (lack) of qualifications. That's why I've got to impress them now; it's not a one-off sort of thing.

Today I'm wearing a very long T-shirt tucked into my maternity pants. Not the most flattering outfit, but at least it prevents the whole belly-hanging-out-of clothes business.

Argh, just keep crossing off the days. It doesn't sound like much fun being heavily pregnant, but I suppose it's getting you into practice for becoming nocturnal!

It's definitely not fun being heavily pregnant! Anyone who says otherwise is crazy. I'm hoping that I can deal with the lack of sleep in the next few months.

you poor thing.. here's it's usual (if not a rule?) to leave a month before your due date. hang in there! my mom says it helped her to lie on her side with a pillow between her thighs when she was getting too big to sleep in any position. :)

Thanks for the tip about the pillow! I wish I lived in a Scandinavian country - you guys have the best social policies.
