Ran the 10k Labor Day Race in Davis last Monday, and the results/times came up on the website just now...completed 10k/6.2 miles in 45:41, for a pace of 7:21/mile. Think this is the best distance/time ratio I've managed yet, so maybe not everything gets worse as one ages. My brother, currently a medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse NY has henceforth declared that all people including family members must now refer to him as "Dr. Liu" when attempting to address him. At the gym the other day (which is freaking huge and makes the Wooden Center seem paltry in comparison), I saw an asian guy on a treadmill wearing a "JAPAN IS NO #1" headband who was talking to an asian girl wearing a yukata, and a guy with a motorcycle helmet that I swear had a custom gfx job of a gundam on it.

this is a strange town, lol
