Thanks! I'm pleased you enjoyed it ^^. I love writing Claude and little!Claire. They're so very adorable. As for that passage: fantastipants and I decided that 'partner' might just be the most morally ghey word ever, and this, fic had to incorporate it xD.
O.O you read "Partners" as well? wow. *realized belatedly that she should have put a 'can be read separately' label on that* I don't blame you for being worn out, that's a lot of fic :D
Thanks for the feedback ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed both fics.
I loved a lot of things about this fic. Swearing in front of Claire, the mistaken (and maybe not for a bad reason, lol) "partnership," and Bennet's surprising vulnerability. And I really really liked Claude, how he's immediately protective of Claire and then supportive yet strict on Bennet to get him to step up. Great fic!
Thank you! I love writing for these two, and I had a lot of fun with this fic- I think Claire has some pretty far-reaching implications on their partnership, so it was interesting to figure out how that might have started.
There's so much about this that I love: the subtlety of the implication of their relationship, Claude bonding with Claire in ways that Bennet can't or won't, the hint of what the Company did to Claude, the running joke about language in front of the baby...
You are very welcome! It was a pleasure to write (once I figured out where it was going *laughs*). I love the idea that Claude attaches to Claire when Bennet won't, and the subtlety of their implied relationship is something that I really feel just fits them. It's one of the things that makes them interesting and hard to write at the same time- the idea that they can never really acknowledge that they feel anything for each other, whether they do or not. And the Company being manipulative: I'm glad that fits with your personal canon, ^^ it fits with mine as well. I don't think the Company gives anyone much more than the illusion of freedom.
As a final note: *icon love* Eccleston is so very talented *glee* And now I must rush off to read your fic! :D

I was going to say (I hope this doesn't come out wrong), that your fic reads almost like a missing scene from the one I'm doing, and I mean that because I think we've got very similar takes on the characters and the dynamic, and what the Company may be up to. The two stories could definitely belong to the same universe. I'm kind of glad I wasn't planning a post-adoption scene, as it would feel redundant, and probably not be nearly as good.
I love that icon. I love that moment. His body language is always spectacular, but I love the awkward grace of the way he's bouncing around, and that smile of pure joy. For a guy who's so intense and inward, when called upon, he can do happy like nobody's business.
No, that makes sense ^^. As I said in the first fic of this series: An invisible man might steal or kill without concern for the consequences but an invisible company- now that was a force to fear. If a man could become a god, a company could re-shape the universe and that’s exactly what this one wanted to do.
He can, he can! I love Eccleston's happy, and there's so little of it! It's really a shame (and why I really don't understand the rumor that he got out of 'who because of typecasting worries. Man's been typecasted his entire life, far as I can tell). Not that I love the intensity and angst any less. He's masterful there.

“And your -partner-is adopting?”
Claude blinked. There was something odd about that sentence. “Yeah,” he affirmed, “his wife couldn’t make the trip.”
*giggles* Aww, Claude. So dense.
Enjoyed this very much!
