It’s a whirlwind of new sounds, new smells-planets she’s never been to, horizons she’ll never see. It’s fire and frozen tundra and shivers down her neck even as gold burns behind her eyes and she is here, now, and there’s something she has to do.

She can see the whole of creation, spinning out of gravity and dust the way she once watched the ( Read more... )

Thank you! I'm glad :D I wasn't sure whether it would be too confusing or not.

Quite good! It's such a nice insight into what it was like to suddenly be the DoctorDonna, with a multiverse to save.

I liked this a lot -- you captured the confusion and yet the complete omniscience of knowing exactly what to do very well, and I love the last bit, too, because I feel kind of cheated that we didn't get more completely kickass blue!Doctor and Donna interaction. I just think they'd be the greatest team ever, lol.

Thank you so much! The omniscience is something I've been toying with in my characterization of the Doctor as an alien and what it means to be a Time Lord. As for the last bit, I too feel cheated of the awesomeness that is Donna and Cloney!Doctor. I really really want to write fic for them *must wait until current fic is finished* They're so fantastic and he so obviously adores her, it makes me giddy just to watch that part of JE.

The omniscience and general otherness of how Time Lord brains must work is why I tend to pick human narrators, to be honest, lol. It's a fascinating concept, just not one I think I could do justice.

And... yeaaah I'm working on a fic with them as we speak, because come on, they were awesome. *whines*

I think that 'otherness' is why the show sticks to human companions, quite honestly. But I am fascinated by the alien aspect of the Doctor, so I usually try to write from his perspective. ;D

They were awesome. They should have their own show, definitely.

How's the fic going?
