I think I'm going to copy what oparu is doing (yay new friend!), and do a texty post, and then a picture post! Makes much more sense.
Thursday/Friday
Thursday I ran around cleaning the apartment, archaeology got here around 8PM, and I finished cleaning my room (sorta) and we got the mattress set up on the floor. I still haven't moved it, so my room is one giant fucking bed. I also ended up with about $144 in rolled change. The bank LOVED me. I went in twice. Woke up early on Friday and went to get my chair from my parents (because I keep it there, they live close enough that if I need it, they can bring it to me rather easily), managed to almost forget it (seriously? how do you forget something like that?), and then headed to the airport to meet zia319!! HEE! Manda and her family? YAY! One, Dax rocks. Two her family rocks. We got to her uncles and they took us out for lunch, and we went to a real chinese food resturant, and I ate food, and I liked it. And I tried Chicken Feet. They were not bad, but not really my cup of tea. Addie ate the chicken feet too, and um. Yeah, let's not go into Addie right now, she's kind of nuts.
Then we headed to the con! Got our registration sorted out, saw the ever-awesome Nick (he works at the Special Needs table, we met him last year) and went and chilled out for a bit, because we were there early. Then we went to a couple of panels, and ended up missing the Buffy sing-a-long because it was the same time as the Stargate ship-off, and it was such a toss up. Stargate won. Also, I was not expecting that panel. People were so, we were loving each other! It was great, we were disagreeing but nobody was like "YOUR SHIP SUCKS AND MINE IS AWESOME" it was really just a lot of squee and saying what chemistry between certain characters works and what works and what doesn't.
We also decided that Vala is pretty much Jack with boobs and a much better body (: Which I'd never thought of before, but dude. Yes. So the Jack/Daniel fans can feel a little vindication *g*
We headed home after that because poor zia319 had to get up at dark-thirty (3:30) to get her flight.
Saturday!
So, once we got there. Was freaking a little, cuz you know first thing of the day? Torri picture. They had the pictures in this room that had stairs up to it, so they had this two part ramp because the other one broke. Which doesn't work for someone with a one-piece solid foot rest, so I wheelied up it. That part was fun, little bit nerve-wracking cuz it was kind of steep. Then photo time! I think I freaked out Torri a little, cuz I was like, "dudes, I am standing for the photo", and I was a little wobbly when I got up at first, so you can't tell in the picture, but she was *clinging* to my back, and, she asked me what my name was and was like "ooh! I am a Victorria too, do you spell yours with one R or two? I spell mine with two", and I was like "You can do that?". Then when I went to leave, it was a little cramped, so I wheelied and spun to get out because you take up less space on the floor that way. And Torri went "ooh! you span! Can you show me that later properly?" So that was squeeful, and yay!
Then we went to the last 10 minutes of Teryl's talk. But seriously? Why did they schedule Teryl and Torri against each other? I literally think I'm in love with both of them equally now, and when I get to the rest of the weekend, it's completely understandable. Teryl was running around barefoot in a red dress, and just being, bubbly and adorable. I can't remember anything she specifically said that day in the talk, because it was only a few minutes. And the crowd? Loves her.
Then we went for Teryl's autograph, we got up there, and she was clearly adorable. And her assistant for the weekend? OMG! They are *so* adorable together. They were squeeing about things and giggling the entire time, and she brought Teryl some water at one point and was like "here you go darling" and Teryl was like "Why thank you sweetheart". So we giggled with her for a minute, and I when I went to move to let Addie get her autograph I was like "at least this time I won't get stuck under the table" (last year. Michael Shanks. I got laughed at), and then I did.
Also, when Addie handed over her picture with her name sticky, Teryl went "That's your name?" (cuz her full name is Adiel) and I accordingly went "Nope. She made it up" and Addie was like "It's just, that your name is so unique and cool, I felt like I needed a cool name too" and Teryl laughed, and then Addie explained that it's a hebrew name and what it means. She wrote "Cool Name!" on Addie's picture (:
Next we went up for Torri's autograph. Except this part starts off with another Teryl story. Because at that point Teryl was done her autograph time, and she was putting her stuff all away. And again, being adorable with her assistant, they were squeeing about something, and grabbed hands and like, did a little jump. And this is, they'd just met the night before, they picked the best person ever to help her out for the weekend (: So we get to the front of our line (if you're registered with Special Needs, you get your own line, you still wait like everyone else, but what they do is let a bunch of people go from one line, then one person from the other line and then they just keep repeating that. Meg and Manda almost beat us at one point and they had to get in the real line up (you can only have one person with you). Anyways. What? Rambling. Teryl started yelling to us, "What are you doing back?! Taking a load off??!" and we yelled back "Nope! We just missed you so much we had to see you again!" and hee, see? Teryl is the awesome.
So is Torri. Seriously. She had on her big sunglasses, and this gorgeous black dress. And we got up there, and first I actually got wistful_memory an autograph, because she ended up not being able to come. And halfway through signing her phone started to ring, and it was her Mum, and she was like "I am so sorry! I have to answer it, it's my Mum!" and so, we waited whilst she talked to her Mum, who had just gotten to the hotel and was wondering where she could pick up her passes. Because her family came! So, she signed both of my things and we talked about a couple things, and then went to sign Addie's, and lol, it's like a thing. Addie has the best name ever, because everyone always goes "That's your name?", I love it. It's awesome, and they always double check spelling it. But then as she was signing Addie's she goes "omg, wait, that one was yours? Give it back to me! I want to write more!" and takes it back after she signed Addie's and added more *huge grin* (She added, "Your smile and spirit is soo beautiful" and I think I like, died a little from glee on the inside). Then when we went to go, she went "I still want to see you spin and wheelie at the same time, but we don't have time!" Cuz we took extra long since she was on the phone with her Mum for a few minutes anyways =P
Then we went and I proceeded to just grin, a lot. Torri is awesome.
So we went to Torri's talk, I will try and remember all the highlights. The crowd, loved her. She is absolutely adorable.
- She came out, and was like "Oh no! I have a dress on, I'm a jeans girl. And now I have to sit like a girl, if I flash anyone, let me know. No, really!" And sat down for a few minutes.
- She is very self-depricating, and as Opal has said, she is like, giggly but still a bit shy at the same time. And is just lovely lovely.
- She thinks Elizabeth would be a good, but stern Mum, unlike herself, who would let things go a lot more (: This is because she's a dog mum, and Torri's dog is Elizabeth's dog and so she does have that nurturing side already.
- Someone asked what she thinks of fic, and she basically said that, creativity however it is inspired, is wonderful and should be written.
- She is loving doing independent movies right now, she's done two in the past year and they are very close to her heart.
- I asked her what side of Elizabeth she woul like to explore that they didn't get to, or haven't gotten to yet (lol, and she was like "diplomatic" when I added the second part as an afterthought). And she said that she would have liked to see what Elizabeth dealing process was at 3am after she's had to make a decision that really does go against her values but she had to make. Okay, and then at that part I leaned in and went "Thanks! And um, part two?" and she went "Ooh! Are you gonna spin?" so I did my wheelie spin, and she apparently grinned and she was all "yay!" and then I wheeled back to my seat which was up ahead in the aisle and apparently I am speedy speedy. Seriously, so just. Love Torri.
- Opal asked her, what she loves most about playing being in love. And it's that thing of, just what she loves about being in love. That everyone strives to be able to have that living in the moment. Because you lose all your worries and you're not stressed, and you are just happy. But that at the same time, it can be hard to play because you are also conscious when you're acting and you have to make sure you're getting everything right and still playing that.
- She totally dodged the "Who would you pair yourself up with on SGA" question, but then was like "I want Elizabeth to go a planet full of many armed hot alien men" which she has so said before, and is just hilarious (lol, wait til you hear what Teryl wants Janet to get to do)
- Someone asked if David is as neurotic as McKay, and here was literally no pause at all it was just an immediate "Yes." then she paused and added "I think he reels it in a little for Rodney sometimes"
- Of course there was the prank question. And Torri was like "Oh god, I never know what to say and it always gets asked!" and then realised she knew she could say something. And dear lord. Jason. Okay:
Apparently, when you have to do a scene with Jason, and he is not in a shot but he's there for eye contact you cannot actually look at him, you have to look two feet away. Because the entire time he is undressing. And the man has no modesty, he will go as far as it takes to get a reaction. If he gets a blush instead of a giggle? Thats good too. And for scenes where, it's the mid-shot and it's like, mid-stomach and up? He will touch you inappropriately. And Torri was like "When you're in a good mood? You're like hee, keep touching" and she also like, did a hand motion like she was Jason touching. But yeah. Seriously. LMFAO JASON.
- Also, someone asked her who her favourite is to work with. And she said, she loves Rachel, because they are friends and they sometimes felt outnumbered by the boys on set - and so that part was good, and David makes everyone laugh. And Jason is um, just so darn gorgeous that she just likes to stare at him.
- She had her dress and sandels on? She wasn't nearly as bad as Teryl who just did both of her talks barefoot (Steve Bacic did his talks barefoot too) but she kept figiting and slipping her feet in and out of them. And she has the most gorgeous legs, ever. Srsly. Guh. Opal and I afterwards were like "Yep, kept staring at them"
- Oh! So right at the beginning she saw her nephew in the audience and was like "do you guys mind if I go give him a hug, I haven't seen him yet!" and we were like "chaa, yes, go give him a hug" and she then was like "Um, how do I get off the stage" because she forgot you know, that the stairs are there, because Teryl is incapable of staying on the stage and is always running behind to go up and down the stairs - so she hopped off the stage, but was like "Omg, look over there! No, really!" but then when she got back was like "how do I get back up?" so a volunteer came over and knelt down and gave her a boost with his hand, so she stepped up like that.
The audience loved her. She is sweet, and adorable, and just lovely in so many ways.
We stopped in on the masquerade Saturday Night. Two girls dressed up in Lolita and danced to the dream-song from Bring it On. It was hilarious. Then two guys did Red vs Blue and were Spartans, and did a funny little skit. And then "It's raining men" started to play. They, pole danced with their spears. Barbara? She was like "My weekend is complete." They were fit these guys.
Sunday, a.k.a The Day of Teryl is Awesome.
Actually, the day started off with Erick Avari being hilarious. He came on to do his Q&A and came on before Steve Bacic's was over, and they danced on the stage. And sat in the chair together, and then Erick threw candy at people. Then Larry who is the MC came out to do the announcements and Erick helped him do them. Except he changed half of them *g* "Do not bring guests gifts... Wait. No, bring me stuff!". He had a lot of cool stories, and just, was very. Lovely. Although his talk was also one of the early ones, and so it was quieter and at one point nobody had a question so he asked if anyone had any cool talents. And no one was like "I can do.." so after like a few seconds inside my head I was like "goddammit, okay" (like the time at the Renaissance Fair I took the favour from the Knight because NO ONE ELSE WOULD) - and I was like "Okay, I can wheelie and spin at the same time" so I did it, and then he was like "Now. Can you do it on stage?" and I looked at the stage and was like "If you lift me up there". Um. So he did. Dude Erick Avari is hilarious and awesome. Because he was also another one who couldn't really stay on the stage, he sat on the front of it, and stood down on the floor in front of it.
After Erick? TERYL.
She is explosively bubbly and hyper and just. She came out, already barefoot, and asked who had never seen her talk before. And went "Okay, this is my disclaimer, I already have my shoes off, because I can't keep them on. And I also don't know how to stay on the stage." And then she posed for people to take photos.
At this point people hadn't started to line up for questions yet, so she went "Actually, first I want to meet this girl I met the other day, because she's in, just bear with me for a second" And then gets off the stage and 10 seconds later I'm like "Uh. Addie. Is coming towards me." And she was. She then gets UP to me, and goes "Oh god! Please tell me you have a question!" and made a face, and I was like *MIND GOES BLANK* so what does the brain spew out? "I love you?" in this I don't know what voice, and then my brain is like "WTF MOUTH". Except she went "Omg! I have to give you a hug" and hands the mike to Meg, and gives me a hug, and squeezes my hand.
Then she just, does her whole, Teryl thing:
- She is so just, bubbly and excitedable. And loves everyone, and runs around hugging people, and standing on chairs to hug them - and she skips. She skips! And shes always going on her tiptoes because she is short (:
- There was this 13 year old boy, who - she couldn't answer his question, so she was like "what can I do to make it better? wait. how old are you? is your mother here?" so she got his mother to take a picture and she planted a kiss on his cheek and stayed there while she took a picture (:
- She ran up to Opal more then once (:
- She is a diehard CSI fan, and we should all write to them and get her on CSI
- Ahahaha, once, so, over the years there were certain foods that they would ask the kraft people to not put on the table, because it would make Chris fart. Like egg salad. And so one day he was in a hazmat suit and all of a sudden he started to flail around like mmaaad, and he had farted inside. Teryl was like "sweet sweet revenge".
- OH! So someone asked her what kind of adventure she would want Janet to go on. And Teryl wants Janet to get stranded on P3X-282 with Patrick Stewart. And they would practice and practice and practice making babies.
- She said that she still hasn't seen Heroes, and she cried when she read the script.
- The one thing she really missed about Ripple Effect was that Don and Rick weren't there.
- OH! So, in the mornings, seeing as Teryl is very hyper and bubbly, she would come into the make-up trailer around 5:30/6:00 AM and start chatting on about her dogs and what they did and omg did you see last nights CSI and so on and so forth (: And apparently Chris got a little grumbly with her one morning, and so she stopped talking to him for the whole day, and everytime he would try to talk to her she would go "What's that annoying buzzing sound? Does anyone else hear it?" and she kept it up all day. And they were sitting getting their makeup retouched on set, he tried to talk to her again, and she did it again. He walked away and ran back up with a roll of duct taped - and TAPED her to the chair, like completely. Just kept wrapping it around her. She said she was crying tears of laughter, and ruined all her make-up and they had to cut her out of it.
There was more, but really, she was just. So incredibly lovely. One of the guys who asked a question also said, "You know, I came in with a crush on Janet, and I'm leaving with a crush on you" - and that was like everyone else there. She is just wonderful.

Right at the end of her talk - the line up for the questions had died down, cuz really, it was less of people lining up and more Teryl just going to them in the audience half the time. And I was like "Okay, I will ask the last question thens!" Cuz you know I had one. And Teryl came bounding off of the stage again, and came up and grabbed my hand while I asked and she answered (really we'd been asking her what shows she liked a lot, so I just asked if she liked Battlestar Gallatica) and the entire time she was talking she was holding my hand - and then went to say her goodbye stuff. And at this point Addie said she went to look cuz she was like "Has Victoria died and is not letting go?" And it was, I went to let go of her hand to let her go, and she glanced at me real quick, and squeezed, like "Nuh uh" - and did her goodbyes holding my hand.

Okay I still got Katee's talk to go (oh my god she is also so incredibly adorable) - and Teryl and the photo I got. But it is sweltering here. I swear, zia319 You left at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME. Yesterday it apparently hit like 45? And they had to close part of the 401 (ahaha, oh NOES the 401?!?!) because part of it buckled cuz it was MELTING. And today is just, humid and gross. Seriously, you came right in all the reprieve from the heat. But I need to go take a cold shower - and I also started writing this around 6am this morning and kept leaving it.

We stopped in on the masquerade Saturday Night. Two girls dressed up in Lolita and danced to the dream-song from Bring it On. It was hilarious. Then two guys did Red vs Blue and were Spartans, and did a funny little skit. And then "It's raining men" started to play. They, pole danced with their spears. Barbara? She was like "My weekend is complete." They were fit these guys.
Sunday, a.k.a The Day of Teryl is Awesome.
Actually, the day started off with Erick Avari being hilarious. He came on to do his Q&A and came on before Steve Bacic's was over, and they danced on the stage. And sat in the chair together, and then Erick threw candy at people. Then Larry who is the MC came out to do the announcements and Erick helped him do them. Except he changed half of them *g* "Do not bring guests gifts... Wait. No, bring me stuff!". He had a lot of cool stories, and just, was very. Lovely. Although his talk was also one of the early ones, and so it was quieter and at one point nobody had a question so he asked if anyone had any cool talents. And no one was like "I can do.." so after like a few seconds inside my head I was like "goddammit, okay" (like the time at the Renaissance Fair I took the favour from the Knight because NO ONE ELSE WOULD) - and I was like "Okay, I can wheelie and spin at the same time" so I did it, and then he was like "Now. Can you do it on stage?" and I looked at the stage and was like "If you lift me up there". Um. So he did. Dude Erick Avari is hilarious and awesome. Because he was also another one who couldn't really stay on the stage, he sat on the front of it, and stood down on the floor in front of it.
After Erick? TERYL.
She is explosively bubbly and hyper and just. She came out, already barefoot, and asked who had never seen her talk before. And went "Okay, this is my disclaimer, I already have my shoes off, because I can't keep them on. And I also don't know how to stay on the stage." And then she posed for people to take photos.
At this point people hadn't started to line up for questions yet, so she went "Actually, first I want to meet this girl I met the other day, because she's in, just bear with me for a second" And then gets off the stage and 10 seconds later I'm like "Uh. Addie. Is coming towards me." And she was. She then gets UP to me, and goes "Oh god! Please tell me you have a question!" and made a face, and I was like *MIND GOES BLANK* so what does the brain spew out? "I love you?" in this I don't know what voice, and then my brain is like "WTF MOUTH". Except she went "Omg! I have to give you a hug" and hands the mike to Meg, and gives me a hug, and squeezes my hand.
Then she just, does her whole, Teryl thing:
- She is so just, bubbly and excitedable. And loves everyone, and runs around hugging people, and standing on chairs to hug them - and she skips. She skips! And shes always going on her tiptoes because she is short (:
- There was this 13 year old boy, who - she couldn't answer his question, so she was like "what can I do to make it better? wait. how old are you? is your mother here?" so she got his mother to take a picture and she planted a kiss on his cheek and stayed there while she took a picture (:
- She ran up to Opal more then once (:
- She is a diehard CSI fan, and we should all write to them and get her on CSI
- Ahahaha, once, so, over the years there were certain foods that they would ask the kraft people to not put on the table, because it would make Chris fart. Like egg salad. And so one day he was in a hazmat suit and all of a sudden he started to flail around like mmaaad, and he had farted inside. Teryl was like "sweet sweet revenge".
- OH! So someone asked her what kind of adventure she would want Janet to go on. And Teryl wants Janet to get stranded on P3X-282 with Patrick Stewart. And they would practice and practice and practice making babies.
- She said that she still hasn't seen Heroes, and she cried when she read the script.
- The one thing she really missed about Ripple Effect was that Don and Rick weren't there.
- OH! So, in the mornings, seeing as Teryl is very hyper and bubbly, she would come into the make-up trailer around 5:30/6:00 AM and start chatting on about her dogs and what they did and omg did you see last nights CSI and so on and so forth (: And apparently Chris got a little grumbly with her one morning, and so she stopped talking to him for the whole day, and everytime he would try to talk to her she would go "What's that annoying buzzing sound? Does anyone else hear it?" and she kept it up all day. And they were sitting getting their makeup retouched on set, he tried to talk to her again, and she did it again. He walked away and ran back up with a roll of duct taped - and TAPED her to the chair, like completely. Just kept wrapping it around her. She said she was crying tears of laughter, and ruined all her make-up and they had to cut her out of it.
There was more, but really, she was just. So incredibly lovely. One of the guys who asked a question also said, "You know, I came in with a crush on Janet, and I'm leaving with a crush on you" - and that was like everyone else there. She is just wonderful.

How could I forgot this part? I didn't I just forgot to write it down.
Right at the end of her talk - the line up for the questions had died down, cuz really, it was less of people lining up and more Teryl just going to them in the audience half the time. And I was like "Okay, I will ask the last question thens!" Cuz you know I had one. And Teryl came bounding off of the stage again, and came up and grabbed my hand while I asked and she answered (really we'd been asking her what shows she liked a lot, so I just asked if she liked Battlestar Gallatica) and the entire time she was talking she was holding my hand - and then went to say her goodbye stuff. And at this point Addie said she went to look cuz she was like "Has Victoria died and is not letting go?" And it was, I went to let go of her hand to let her go, and she glanced at me real quick, and squeezed, like "Nuh uh" - and did her goodbyes holding my hand.
I am broke.

Okay I still got Katee's talk to go (oh my god she is also so incredibly adorable) - and Teryl and the photo I got. But it is sweltering here. I swear, zia319 You left at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME. Yesterday it apparently hit like 45? And they had to close part of the 401 (ahaha, oh NOES the 401?!?!) because part of it buckled cuz it was MELTING. And today is just, humid and gross. Seriously, you came right in all the reprieve from the heat. But I need to go take a cold shower - and I also started writing this around 6am this morning and kept leaving it.
