I finished the shrug! Pretending that I actually posted or told anyone other than those who live with me that I was knitting it, it's done! Finally! (Lesson to self, don't lose a pattern for approximately four months - starting something that's not exactly a mammoth project and it taking 4 months is just sad)

I may take better pics once I am a) at ( Read more... )

Wow, it's awesome! The sleeves don't even look that rolly to me. You're good at knitting, it seems like you've bought it, not knitted yourself. Did you do the cap, too?

Hee, Oz! :) The last pic is oh so cute!

EDIT: OMG LINK FAIL.

Hee! Thanks! I am super pleased with how it came out - I actually have to knit another one now for my Mum since this one was supposed to be for her, but she decided it looked better on me - except that she still wants one. I DON'T KNOW. SHE MAKES NO SENSE.

I did make the hat! It's this one here, I tend to wear it a lot. I'm also in the middle of making another slouchy beret type thing, but I got stalled out for some reason. I also have to knit two little teddy bears for women on the education committee [one of them, she did the crochet edge for me on the shrug (I do not. Understand. Crocheting. CONFUSING IT IS), so it's like craft in trade =P].

Ozzers is the cutest thing in my life, I luffs him. I've not been home since Friday night because of Union stuff + a concom programming meeting that ran super late cuz we ended up at the pub afterwards, so I am happy to be going home tonight.

I love the shrug! I should really find a shrug pattern to knit. Preferably one that has ties. That woul dbe perfect for home wear and belly dance, then!

It's a really simple pattern actually [all in one piece, and then you fold it over and sew the sides up (arms/underarm side bits)], I could email what it basically is if you want - you could probably just alter it to whatever you wanted once you saw the general idea. I was lucky with the sizing too, it fits perfectly.

You actually knitted that? CRAZY KNITTING SKILLZ, DUDE.

Also, those pictures of Oz need to be framed (the ones with the colourful background? WOW). Though I'm pretty sure you probably have like a million of those just lying around, with the amount of awesome puppy pictures you guys take. :)

Heeee - it was actually a really cool pattern because it's so deceptive, it's all one piece that you then just fold over and sew up. It's weirdo looking. Folded up it looks like a sweater for a severely obese 2 year old. I'm thinking of finding another wool and doing something similar without stripes and with long sleeves, it'd be cute.

And the other thing, yes (: You know!
