I... don't really have anyone to do that with, that's why I'm asking, I guess I could say.

Girls tend to congregate in packs - my first day here I met someone returning from a shopping trip.

Well, I guess some girls like to go shopping. I like to play the piano or maybe draw or paint. It would remind me of home, I guess.

Playing instruments or reading books always helps, I find.

I'm very fond of playing the piano, but that would be a while before I can afford that. But I do like the sound of reading.

I've no doubt you could find places willing to let you borrow their pianos, should you ask them. There's one in a more popular cafe, I know, and I know several people own them. As for reading, there are many libraries around here.
