[ Oh hey, she knows you. She's busy trying to peer into that tiny Dreamberry screen to figure out where you are by looking at your surroundings. But all Ray's getting from it is somewhere in the industrial district. ]

[There's a few sounds of pounding on the door as the not zombies try to make their way in. Zoey continues to push against the door, not even looking into the Dreamberry to reply.]

[ It takes her a little while, but Ray's found the building. Except... she can't exactly just walk through the front door. ]

I'm outside. [ Pause ] I could probably distract them from the outside while you climb through the window.

[She was able to get away from the door for a little bit. She looks out her window for a sec, considering that suggestion.]

[ She's creeping up the stairs as you speak, so the next time Ray speaks into the Dreamberry, her voice is slightly more hushed. ]

I believe there's a dumpster you could aim for. [ Pause, and then a tone that's meant to lighten up the conversation ] It's better than getting stuck with those guys.

[Zoey makes a sound that could've been a small laugh.]

My thoughts exactly. I've had higher falls than this anyway.

[And heading out in a sec.]

Don't get hurt, okay? Some of them have bats and broken beer bottles.

[ She's managed to find a vent that Ray is crawling into. And she's got a pretty good view of the mob. ]

[Zoey makes a bit of a face as she looks into that open dumpster down below. Not like she's got a better choice though. She jumps out the window and onto the trash, crawling her way out of the waste as fast as she could manage.

She manages to get to the door of the apartment, hand on the knob as she calls Ray once more.]

I'm out! Get the hell out of there! I'll try to cover you.

[ You don't have to tell her twice, she's already making her way out ]

[ She's mostly out of the building, but the mob is closing in, now. No time to talk, but she spots a figure that looks like it's probably you. ]

[Zoey fires a few shots aimed behind Ray, trying to get the not!zombies off her back, almost literally. As soon as she's out, Zoey cocks her head to the side.]

C'mon! I know a good place to hide from them.

[And off she goes!]

[ Ray doesn't stop to think, she just dashes behind Zoey ]

[Zoey makes her way down a few streets, eventually ducking into a narrow, dimly-lit alley. She gets behind a dumpster, crouching down low. It doesn't take long until the mob passes by completely missing the alley, walking past in search for the two.

[Turning to Ray as soon as they're gone, Zoey lets out a muffled laugh.]

Pretty close one, huh?

[ She's a little out of breath, and crouching behind a dumpster wasn't exactly Ray's idea of a good time, but she can't help but laugh a little ]

Not sure what's worse. Being attacked by actual zombies or by people who're pretty close to that...

At least this thing is masking up my stink. [Gestures to the dumpster.]

Very similar. Can't say I've seen any that's intelligent enough to use actual weapons though.
