Servants Quarters Room 10, Wednesday morning
Dani didn't have any classes today so she was being lazy. She was still in her pajamas, lounging around on her bed with a magazine when her cell phone rang.
Caller ID said that it was her brother, so she answered right away. "You're awake awfully early. Do you know what time it is on the west coast?" Dani asked.
"Road trip! WOOOOOOO!" screamed Junior.
Dani had to pull the phone away from her ear. "What the heck is going on over there?" she asked.
"I'm coming to see you, little sister!" yelled Junior. "Dad got invited to some visitation thing at your school and had to cancel at the last minute, so I'm going instead."
"But why are you yelling? And what's all that noise in the background?" asked Dani.
"I've got the top down on the Porsche, I'm on the open road, and I've got the radio cranked up! WOOOOO!" shouted Junior.
Dani was torn between wondering when Junior turned into the male version of a woo girl and if she needed to warn the ladies of Milieux about her brother. "When will you get here?" she asked.
"I don't know, but I can drive as fast as I want!" said Junior.
Dani was quick to cut in before he could get another "WOO!" in. "Then I'll see you when you get here. Do you want me to make a reservation for you at the motel?"
"What, my baby sister won't let me take the spare bed?" asked Junior.
Dani longingly eyed her spare bed, which was currently covered in all the clothes that didn't fit in either of her closets. "Come on, Junior. You really don't want to share a dorm room with me. And don't call me baby sister. I'm only 11 months younger than you," she said.
"Oh, like I'm going to give up the chance to stay in a girl's dorm. WOO!" yelled Junior.
"Actually, Junior, it's a co-ed dorm. There's boys living here," Dani pointed out.
"Oh," said Junior, turning down the decibel level a bit. "Well, then I can at least make sure that you're not getting into trouble with all those boys around."
Dani pouted, but she didn't see any other options. "Fine. I'll make some room for you. But you'd better not embarrass me in front of my friends this weekend!" she said.
"I'll see you when I get there, Sis. This weekend is going to be awesome!"
