The mud asked. What is the king?
Once it made that question, it realized the contradiction.
The mud accepted that there was “another” inside it, a place where “individuals” can’t continue to be.
It took in an impossible, foreign object.
That thing was the king. In other words, the first absolute one. The one existence above heaven and below heaven.
The name of that being was “King of Heroes”, Gilgamesh.
Splashes of the black mud flew as it burst apart. Unable to completely absorb the foreign object even with all of the resent at its disposal, it discharged the form of that overwhelming ego.
And thus, he stood once again on the earth, in the burning ruins.
The perfect body with the proportions of the Golden Rule was no longer the spiritual body of a Servant, but an honest-to-goodness material body made of flesh of the mortal world.
The all-life rejecting mud crystallized and abandoned the impurity inside itself, and because of that, the hero at last became incarnated, making his return to the mortal plane.
Even though he was in the middle of scorching inferno, his royal majesty stayed off even the surrounding flame. Naked body boldly bare like a sculpture, Gilgamesh gave a snort of disgust.
"To think I fought over that thing, thinking it was a wish maker. This buffoonery was damned to the very end.”
But it was acceptable. The King of Heroes examined his body without expecting much, and was satisfied with the feel.
“So, the will of heaven is telling me to once again reign over this era and rule the earth… Hmph, again they task me with a stupid trial. But very well. Aggravated I may be, I accept the challenge.“
However bothersome it was, he could not turn his back on a challenge from the gods.
Gilgamesh once again made a harsh laugh at his fate as the King of Heroes.
