I could probably get to downtown Houston in a hour and a half, but these days time and money are in short supply, and I don't think I'd even know where to go once I got there! This is the way I felt when I moved to Sweden from NC in 1994. People *still* ask me why I don't want to go home and I tell them that this is my *home*!

I grew up in a family of farmers, and reading your post makes me think about my own roots and my family ties to the land. It's funny how far we sometimes travel in search of "home." Your story about the wildflowers is amazing, thank you. :)
