Welcome to you! I, too, hate not being able to have crazy hair or body modifications in order to get a job. If you're good at what you do, how you look shouldn't matter, but meh. The man always has to find a way to keep us down. ;)

I know the feeling about hair. I hate grown up jobs that won't tolerate the hair.

And NYC isn't that spiffy. I think its worth a good visit for anyone, but its just too... intense unless you are really into the rat race.
