It was pretty much what I thought it would be. There was a little hope that maybe it would fantabulous but overall, it was satisfactory.
I was about to completely lose hope when the movie started though because it was just so damn awkward. Luckily it got better as time went on. Although, the dialog in general was a little awkward, it felt forced in so many places. And I can't blame the actors because it was a majority of the time and the actors were good. I can only blame the screenplay writers.
LIKES
They did a wonderful job on Kreacher and thank the Lord Dobby was not in this film. Umbridge was delightfully hateful with all her pink and giggles. Daniel was great at the end when Voldemort was in his mind. The film had a lot of little things that made the movie. Oh, the girl who played Luna was amazing. The whole dark feel was good, it definitely set the mood. Instead of feeling completely pissed and wanting to rip the pages out of the book when I read it, I feel the hate but it's not to the point of ridiculous. I like how they took the main chunks and strung them together. Nothing hugely important was left out, to me anyway. Also, I am SO GLAD they fixed how a person spoke through Floo powder. I bugged me so much in Goblet of Fire because the face was in the charcoal and logs and the head's supposed to float IN the fire. And they fixed it! Whoo. The acting, overall, was good. The effects were good.
Oh and to wrap up this "Like" paragraph... YAY for the kiss! It was cute. =3
DISLIKES
I was disappointed in the scene where Harry saw Snape's past and saw his dad young. I loved that scene in the book and they just didn't do it justice. You didn't even get to see Lily. ::sigh:: oh well. Also, I don't understand why they had the twins do their revolt during the OWLS. The twins wouldn't do that. They said so themselves. And that makes it feel like they didn't let the twins be portrayed properly. Lastly, I don't think you saw enough to where you thought Harry was really frustrated. They mention it, yes, but you couldn't really tell, maybe it was because of all the awkwardness, Idunno.
I still liked it. It was good.
Now I just need to wait another week and a half for Deathly Hallows. I know Leisha and I are going at midnight. And I heard from Frank that the girls were going to come up that day to go at midnight as well. If so, everybody better be ready to discuss that weekend. XD
