Taking care of an infant has always seemed like an extraordinary amount of work, but when I see some of my students I feel such an upwelling of happiness and joy that I think that it would be worth all the labor and sleepless nights to reach that point. That's assuming my own child would be as wonderful as my good students and not as stress-provoking as my bad students. (Or my sister, for that matter.)
I'm so glad to hear that you and Felicity are doing well. I'll keep Sarah in my thoughts.

It is SO much work, but completely worth it. I worry sometimes that Felicity might end up like some of the "horror" students that I remember in classes, but I think a lot of that falls on parenting... And since I'm aware of what those students are like, I'm hoping and praying that I'll be able to prevent raising one!
