8. Reason for joining: I'm curious, and today I'm feeling rather bored. ;)
[Questions]:
1. What is your favorite character from Rurouni Kenshin, Why?: Kenshin himself is my favorite character based on the complexity of his attributes. He's gentle, modest to a fault, and yet he's fierce, brave, and a bit rash. Complex characters usually end up being among my favorites. :)
2. What do you want to be rated as?(boy, girl, doesn't matter)?: Doesn't matter to me.
3. Do you read the manga?: Not yet.
4. Do you watch the anime?: I've seen all but the last story-arc.
5. Favorite episode?: For whatever reason, the scene where Karou and Sanosuke argue about whether a train runs on steam or magic (more specifically, a tanuki's trickster magic) always cracks me up.
[In-depth]:
1. Give a really good description of yourself: Not physical, I'm assuming?
For my strong points, I'm good at writing and creating worlds. I am empathic (despite myself, since I think it's scientifically impossible); I can feel other people's emotions. In school, they might have put me in a gifted and talented program if one existed. According to my friends: Strong in moral principles and very caring. Loves people very easily and often without condition. Great with kids, great listening to the problems of even strangers.
For my weak points, I used to be very depressive all of the time, now I'm just pessimistic. I judge myself very harshly and often verbally abuse myself. I let people walk all over me, and when I was younger I was not very assertive. I take people's criticisms and comments too close to heart; I'm very easy to tease. When I lose my temper, I can be very verbally harsh. I used to cry a lot, even through high school. I procrastinate; hence, despite high testing scores, I tend to do badly in classes (even now).
Otherwise, I like writing (original novels and stories, fanfiction), reading (fiction and non-fiction), playing music (tenor saxophone, flute, and other assorted), listening to music (all kinds, but especially jazz, rock, and blues), family and friends, computers, anime, old-school science fiction, new science fiction, dragons, cats, horses, being weird, chocolate, seafood, mountains, stuffed animals, and soft things in general. :)
2. What do you think you would look like if you were a character in Rurouni Kenshin?: Now this is tough, because as a female, it would really depend on what type of family I would be born into. Regardless of my physical apperance, however, I would work towards a trade where I could be as independent as possible and yet be able to learn as much as possible. I might become some sort of scholar or scribe. Therefore, my manner of dress would be similar to that.
