Teenaged boys, woodland caribou, and the Plant That Ate the South

So, every Wednesday, I go over to Branch Library to do my librarian thing over there. Our branch manager there has three kids, one of whom is a rather typical teenaged boy - a bit grumpy, a bit clueless, but not a bad kid. Sometimes it is the delivery and the ability to have an actual discussion that makes the difference.

Sometimes it is. And sometimes it's that the teachers are stuck trying to fit too much into a class, and stuck with presenting in a certain format rather than going with the flow. Some teachers can work with/around the structure, but a lot of them have trouble with it.
