...aaaaaand we're back! It's been awhile since I've posted. Sorry about that -.-;;; last Wednesday Daniel (room mate) and I went to Hampton to the Air and Space Museum, to see Avatar in IMAX 3D and also check out the museum itself. we had originally planned to get there pretty early so we'd have lots of time in the museum but due to oversleeping ( Read more... )

haha tbh part of the reason i knew about it was i accidentally read that bit online, and i was actually pretty incredulous about it. i kept an eye out for the name of it during the movie (thankfully only mentioned once or twice) and sure enough, they weren't kidding. T.T

It's been several years since I've been to the Air & Space Museum, but when I went, I wasn't too impressed either. I don't get why they don't really have Navy planes, since the naval base is so close.

Schnapps is a German word! ;) The only difference is that it would be capitalized in German, like all other nouns.

Glad to hear you also enjoyed Avatar! :D

I can also relate to your job experiences from working in retail customer service for five months last year. Not fun at all. Good luck with school! I hope it will lead to a more satisfying career and won't be too stressful. I'm going back for spring semester on the same day.

there's a navy base in wisconsin? o.O i did not know that. though i guess it makes sense since you guys are on the great lakes.

haha well i'm glad i got the spelling right XD i've always wondered why they capitalize nouns like that. is there a particular reason?

heh, my shitty experiences in retail are actually what drove me to get a job in a call center. for a couple years it wasn't so bad but it's really begun to wear on me. i'm confident network security is something i'll get a lot of enjoyment out of, though. good luck to both of us for our first day back at school haha :D

We actually don't have a naval base in Wisconsin, but there's one near Chicago aptly named Great Lakes Naval Base. (I was referring to the one in Annapolis, MD that isn't far from the museum in D.C ( ... )

Yay, Avatar! I just saw it last week, as well, and really liked it, but nearly LAUGHED OUT LOUD at "Unobtainium!" Glad someone else caught that! :P

haha yeah i read it somewhere online before seeing the movie and thought "no fucking way! really?! no way they could be that lazy with something so simple!" and then when they said it in the movie i think i literally said out loud "are you kidding me?!"
