Author's notes: This is derived from a true story. And this could be one of the last few fics that I will write for the pairing Uru x Kai.
Randomly waiting for a friend to come out of the library, I decided to hang around in a nearby empty corner that’s only a few steps away from the entrance.
Once settled, I took out my mobile phone - slash - mp3 player and started toggling around the songs in my playlist. One song after another it played and slowly, it took away my boredom and didn’t notice that an hour had already passed. And just as another song is about to start, a tall person with his noticeable honey blonde hair approached me.
“Hi.” He greeted me in a low but audible tone and handed me a purple flyer shaped like a duck. I took the piece of paper and just waited for what he had to say. Though in the back of my head, I am already questioning myself of what could be the gender of this androgynous creature in front of me.
‘Are you a boy or a girl?’ I thought.
I was completely star struck over this, this beautiful creature in front of me. “Could you vote for me for Student Council President?” he gave me a sweet grin and I turned to read his name on the flyer. It said ‘Vote! Takashima Kouyou for Student Council President’
“Uhh… ok…”
“Thanks.” He gave a shy smile and left to distribute the rest of the flyers to the other students in the area. ‘Purple duck, eh?’ I mumbled to myself and peeked at him while he attempts to win the vote of others. I turned to the flyer again and tried to remember what had happened earlier, and how I cannot forget that moment. It’s apparently stuck in my mind.
‘Really, that sweet smile of yours had won me over and I would gladly vote for you if I can. I’m sorry I just can’t because I’m ---‘
Before I could go on with my thoughts about this ‘unforgettable’ encounter, the person I was waiting for was already out and is already walking to my direction.
Oh well…
