Personality:
Rus has not had an easy life and he tends to get annoyed when other people have everything handed to them on a sliver platter. He's the type of guy that is nice to almost everyone -at least to their face- but that doesn't mean he approves of the life that they are allowed to live. However, if given the opportunity to live that same life, he would not turn it down. He would love for everything to suddenly be easily acquired.
He's very determined. He wants better than what he's lived with his entire life. The things he owns mean a lot to him and he takes very good care of them. He's had to work for everything he's ever had and though life is a lot easier since The FCA took over his care, he doesn't take anything for granted. He rarely spends the allowance the company sends him because he understands that something could happen and he may very well need that bit of money to survive.
Unfortunately, he's addicted to adrenaline. That tends to get him into trouble more than anything else. He can control his temper and keep his cool... he can smile and plot your death... but he can't turn down a rush. Sneaking out at night, a bit of pranking, anything that he might get caught doing, that sends his heart to racing, he can't get enough of it. As such, he's been caught a few times and has served his detention. Though, he didn't enjoy it, getting caught is quite a rush too.
Strengths: Both magical and personality:
Rus is very hardworking and doesn't mind giving up a little fun to do what needs to be done. He knows that his hard work and determination will pay off some day.
He's very loyal to his friends and would do anything for those he really cares about.
Rus is not very strong in any particular subject. He has to work hard and study hard. However, he enjoys Potions quite a lot. Even when things do go awry, it seems simple. He's been cooking for himself -following mac n' cheese instructions- since he was very little and he fails to see a huge difference. (Though he would have loved to have some of these potions when he was living on the street.)

Without thinking, he can be brutally tactless without meaning to cause any actual damage. He's very independent and would almost rather fail at something than admit that he needs help.
Rus isn't particularly strong in any subject, but he's not particularly weak either. He has to work hard and study hard but he doesn't have to devote his entire life to these things. Where he enjoys Potions and other hands on subjects, he doesn't enjoy the ones with more reading than practical portions. History of Magic would be one of his least favorite classes. Though he can manage an actual passing grade, he normally puts those studies and assignments off until the last minute, while he focuses on other things.

More than anything else, Rus is afraid of becoming his mother. In his opinion, she lead a very controlled, half life. When she wasn't coked out in some half alive trance, she was looking for her next hit. He doesn't ever want to end up that way... wasting away his life in some dirty room... being controlled by anything that's not him.
History:
Rus has not had the easiest life. It's been hard. His mother was a drug addict and lost custody of him when he was seven. She was addicted to cocaine for as long as Rus could remember and the courts finally took him away and placed him into the foster care system. Though he was happy not to have to take care of himself, being in the system did not make him any happier. Sure, he had to worry about his own food and things like that but at least he had freedom and could do what he wanted when he was with his mother.
He was bounced around a bit and had a little trouble finding his place until he received his letter from Hogwarts. His care was instantly transferred to The FCA. The FCA specialize in the neediest children. In Rus' case, that means magical. They bought him the things he needed to attend Hogwarts and sent him on his way. The few months that he's not at school, they place him with carers and keep an eye out on him. In his opinion, life has certainly looked up since turning eleven. In the very least, his carers have grown more interesting since The FCA began handling his case. The Chang family gave him a nice enough home last summer and he almost hopes they will have him back again.

Rus has long curly hair that he lets grow out into an Afro. He's Black British and has dark brown eyes. He has hoop earrings in both ears. He's got the build of an athletic boy and is 5'5".
