- Good news everyone! [/Futurama] For one afternoon a week, I will be working at a charity shop about half a mile from my house. Look, I know, it isn't a proper job, but it's a reference to replace the...um...terrible one that I've been suspecting that my last employers have been giving anyone whom asks. And it's experience. And I should still be ( Read more... )

good work on finding a new position! hopefully it'll pan out for you as you need it to.

also, yeah, i agree about the hitler episode (didnt they just put him in a cupboard and.... forget about him?). Didnt like River when they first introduced her in the library as she came over as an epic mary sue. Last series River actually became pretty badass and lost the Sue streak mostly. That episode pretty much brought it right round full circle to Suedom again. In my view, anyway.

Thanks. ♥

(Yes. They did put him in a cupboard and forget about him.) And I agree with you about River. *nods*

Experience is always good! And it sounds like you could use some boosting of the old CV/references/confidence after whatever happened before.

I didn't mind crazy!evil!River, although I kind of would have liked to see her stay that way for longer (rather than start changing into badass!nice!River). I agree Rory was the best thing in the episode.

Yeah. My confidence has been really low these last few months. I know it'll get better (well, more precisely, everyone keeps telling me that it'll get better, but...it hasn't yet), but that doesn't make it any easier.

I don't know, I haven't really been very happy with this series. The monsters haven't been very scary, the dialogue's been missing snark, and we're now on our second 'all companions are equal, but some are more equal than others' style storyline. And, to be honest, I was bored and irritated with it the first time around. Now, I'm annoyed and disappointed.

*hugs* I think starting something new can really help.

For me it was like a mix of the Moffat-era less-emotional-engagement-with-the-characters combined with RTD-style-bad plots. It saddens me. I like the idea of River's story, I'm just not sure yet if I actually like it.
