I need a Hudson

Wow, haven't posted for a while here... Twitter is so much faster!

Why is it that one always gets a hot courier when one decides to answer the door in your most faded PJ pants and old t-shirt that says 'If you think I'm cute you should see my nephew'.  *head.desk*  Modern Murphy's Law.

I need a butler.

I'd love my very own Hudson.  Everyone needs a ( Read more... )

Mhmm... roast veggies. You're making me hungry! :)

Is it just me, or have Facebook and Twitter killed off Livejournal? There's nothing happening here any more!

Renee!!!

There's nothing much happening betwixt me and His Lordship right now, either... No sooner step on the carpet than have it pulled from beneath my feet. I'm rather nervous about seeing him in person again, whenever that might be. :/ (Hopefully at the end of April.)

Meh... technically single, emotionally taken.

Maybe it'll pick up again soon! We need a rush of creativity to spice up the comm! But you're right, Twitter is just too much fun... shouting out sweet nothings to everyone and no one! It's a great venting tool.

I just wish more people bothered to update their Facebook regularly though, looks as if most of the people on mine haven't checked in in ages. Oh well, ya can always Poke 'em... heh. XD Who thought of that craziness anyway!? *poke poke*

Sounds like a lovely holiday you've got going on - I adore cross-county bike-riding (that's county as I don't have the legs for cross-country). Oh, that courier moved way too fast - if he only knew you had roasties going on - maybe he really digs family-oriented chicks in faded PJ's and you blew him away? ;)

Delicious, geeky and fun - that's Lauren! *loves*

Bike riding is so much fun, I had gotten out of the way of it for a while so I'd forgotten how nice it is. I much prefer being able to see the sights around me rather than just staring at a wall on an exercise bike or a treadmill. I dunno... I know some people like to watch tv whilst they workout 'in the comfort of their loungeroom' but that doesn't really appeal to me, I don't know why - watching something on tv or dvd is a relaxing time for me, not to be getting into a massive workout! LOL ( ... )

About time! And I find my LJ friends are as busy as ever, just... not... you... and all that GR stuff that's been going on the last few months! Can't wait for TKS to come out on dvd here.

I was never into Upstairs Downstairs (hubby liked it and we have a few epis on dvd) but my new fave -and a new ship as per my icon- is Downton Abbey. Hubby and I are totally in love with it. I do recommend it. Just think of it as more of the same but different from UD. :D And you tweet? I do from time to time, same name I have here. ;P

Sorry sweetie, I just read that message you sent me yesterday.... how slow I am! *hugs*

hehe yep, I use Twitter under the name rushysgirl. Keepin' it simple aye? I shall follow you.

Yes, yes, yes... Downton Abbey is next up on my list after I finish up Lark Rise To Candleford. (one of my fave actors who is in Lark Rise happens to be in Downton, which I'm quite looking forward to!) Downton Abbey hasn't actually been showing on TV here and I'm not sure when the DVD will actually be out (any idea?) but when it is I'll be the first one ordering it (I get all my BBC and period drama fixes shipped straight from the ABC online store 'cause the regular shops always seem to have such a crappy range of the BBC stuff - it's a freakin' gold mine! AMAZING stuff, they always seem to have everything I want!)

Hmmm, a fave actor on DA and Larkrise -could it be Brendan Coyle, the adorable Mr. Bates? And you can get DA on dvd from the UK for 8 pounds (hasn't shown here either, borrowed a friend's set, coughscratcheditcough then got her to get us a copy and paid for a new one for her).

Yep indeed. :D Can't wait to see what he's like on Downton Abbey. He's not my favourite overall in Lark Rise but he does play a fabulous part.

Did you have to play it on your computer because it's a different region DVD? I've never been able to buy DVDs from the UK or the US because I always prefer to watch them on my big screen tv. I do occasionally watch series on my laptop but only if they're on YouTube ;D hehe, I did that with Lark Rise until it was finally released here. Also have done it with various older series that are difficult to get hold of in Region 4 format. It's rather annoying sometimes because some things take so long to be released in R4... the second last series of Lark Rise only comes out next month! I have pre-ordered it but have been really craving it - even though I watched it the first time around on YouTube, but it's just not the same as watching it on your tv.

I felt better... and worse ! ;)
Yesterday, as I took a "day-off", I was quite OK, but today, just after 1 hour at work, I begin to feel very tired... Today will be long until 6pm...
But thanks God, kids are rather cool with me, they don't take the advantage of my weakness and are quiet !

THANK YOU for this recipe !!!
Ha ha !!! We really should open a bar(Bossa !!!!!) and each of us could cook one day for each of us ! XD

Olive Oil ! That is TEH secret of a good cooking !
I was born and raised in the South of the France, where everything is cooked with olive oil ! And it's good for ealth, as well !

haha absolutely... it's pretty much the preferred cooking oil to use here - I only use canola oil for deep frying chips or peanut oil for fried chicken because it doesn't burn! That's the only thing about olive oil, it burns easily - but for cooking pasta recipes, roasting and everything else, it's THE BEST! I guess everything that the Italians liked to use has become popular here because of the amount of Italians (and not to mention Greeks - I love Greek food too!) that came to Australia. Thank God for the amazing Italian food!

That's good that the kids are easy on you... so hard to deal with things when you're not feeling well. Let's hope they stay that way!

haha we should buy that Bar Bossa... that would be cool!
