I have never heard about this tradition! Thank you for telling. Is it only for Mexican people or for all Catholics?

Are you interested just in Ukraine or Russia, too, when you say region of the world?

I was about to mention how cold it looks in Kiev, but then realised how obvious that was!

I have just looked it up on Google maps. You're much further north than Kiev so I bet it's cold!

Such a gorgeous picture and you, yourself, look beautiful:=) I love the Russian style of architecture and when all those marvelous buildings and churches are all covered in snow, it seems like Russia can be very romantic in the winter. I like the Russian Orthodox philosophy that says praying should not be easy. Too many people want to be lazy and just lie in bed and ask Jesus to give them things for free without them having to do any work for it! LOL.

Thanks :) I
yes in some case here in Russia it can look romantic. Especially when you are new to all that snow and cold winter. But I have been living here for too long so I can hardly find any romance. I think the most romantic place is oceanside, the East Coast of the USA :)
