As if you needed more proof that our President is a fucking idiot... Abstinence-only education is *totally* the way to go in sub-saharan Africa. I mean, it totally worked here, right? I totally agree. I don't see the value of abstinence-only programs. With such a sex-saturated culture, I do not believe that young people could truly abstain from sexual contact. The best thing to do would be to educate young people about using safer sex methods. With regard to sub-saharan Africa, they have a different culture. It is true that if it is not effective in the U.S., how would it fare in a third-world country?
