spent a chunk of last night fixing up the www.indiebooksonline.com site: broke the php while trying to insert a new field into the database.
it works now. just waiting for the torrent of pre-orders for the new books...

the order torrent didn't happen...

And I think the only reason why it happened to me is because I tend to test things out on the same database/program rather than having a test site set up, so there's lots of left over crap from all the shit I've installed that didn't work out.
And sucks: you're more uber than me on php :( Heaps of people, myself included, have been begging our uni teachers for a course on PHP, but apparently the uni itself wants there to be pointless theory crap and leave all the practical stuff like PHP to TAFE. LAME!

(I'll take off my work hat now -- I work in marketing TAFE and this is one of our selling points...)
wasn't asking you to buy books... just the world. *sigh*
I fake php savvy. My strength is being able to find other folks' solutions and apply those. It's an editing thing -- I can't write code but with enough guidance I can edit it.
I should do more with a test site first -- had a couple of things stuff up from not doing that.
