As far as the custom clothes;
You probably CAN charge that- easily. Just market them right. If youre doing it online make the website uber artsy and explain your personal work background etc. Make sure people know theyre designer and theres only one of each blah blah. Try stuffing them in the sorts of stores that sell work like that- not so much clothing stores- more like boutiques and art shoppes.
Its doable, it just takes a sneaky approach to how to market them.

You know, I think I might just do that...
I'm working on building my art-portfolio web-page and it might just be worth it to copy the code Im already writing and tweak the background/images...

Ive actually been poking round esty and have found a number of folks on there who do more lux goods and seem to sell well (and get good press on a number of the more ritz/pop design/fashion blogs. It might not be a bad idea...

I am kind of in love with those necklaces, haha, and I wish I had some batting so I could attempt to make one.

On the topic of creating your own supercool clothes, I just yesterday got some t-shirts that I'm now stitching patterns onto (plaid, argyle) and it's turning out pretty awesome. I will post pictures when they are compleeete,
