I don't use twitter, so its refreshing to see a post from you again. I don't even post things here anymore. Just Facebook for me...anyway, glad to hear your life is in an upswing, and I hope it continues to do well for you.
Are you going to play Skyrim when that comes out? It looks amazing, and being an Elder Scrolls fan, I'd be amazed if it turns out to be a bust.
I will be playing Skyrim. In fact, every year I've always booked two weeks off work around my birthday and coincidentally the day my vacation starts is the day Skyrim comes out. So yeah, I'll REALLY be playing Skyrim.
Damn, realy refreshing to see you post on your journal again. Always look forward to reading it.
I actually went to Distant Worlds and the Friends concert for Final Fantasy music and other game music, both were amazing and best concerts I have ever been to. Glad you had at least some fun at what you went to as well.
Distant Worlds is coming up in London here but I didn't know about it and it's already sold out. The three of us would happily go but the prices for tickets on eBay are astronomical.
Now that a billion and a half years have passed when I remember you all I can think of is hearing you say "FAFNEAAARRR" on vent when I (an uneducated American at the time) thought it was prounounced "faf-ner" lol
I really agree with you saying a hardcore player can never go casual. I quit FFXI I think 2.5 years ago now and people have tried to get me to come back or play x mmo or whatever. I simply don't trust myself to ever casually play an MMO again. I really don't see how it would have worked with college anyways.
I went to a Distant Worlds concert last summer, it was great stuff!
Anyways, really liked your post and felt the urge to reply after years and years have passed. Good luck in all future endeavors!
Anyway, I remember when BTB and I first started using Vent toward the end of FFXI after a LOT of persuasion from me. I think the first fifteen minutes were spent laughing at how each of us pronounced different things in different ways, as if there was no other way of thinking than our own. Even in WoW, it blew my mind that people thought C'thun should be pronounced "see-thoon".
