"Packing for the Future" by Lorna Crozier, "The Writer" by Richard Wilbur and "Miracle" by Harry Thurston all use extended metaphors to explain a process of growth from child to adult. I Like you section on Plaths life. You said that you found that her father died when she was 8?, but in the poem she says she was 10. This makes me wonder how much truth there truly is in her poem. But because of her mental illness maybe she preceived her world around her as something completley different than it truly was. Sometimes people with mental illnesses only see or feel that people are out to get them, so to speak. hmm
