Great analysis! It was interesting to see that in Dove's poem you highlighted that the mother would never see her daughter again if she disobeyed. What an unfair punishment for a mother!

I like your interpertation on both poems. When you said that in "Falling" the mother didn't trust the child to make their own decisions, that may be true, but it looked like she was talking to a very small child not a teen or adult. All of our parents have said to us over and over "don't talk to strangers", etc. Its a universal peice of advice from a mother =)
