I don't get the point of it. Go to a store and try to figure out what you want to get for everyone, and hope it's not something they already have or someone else is getting it for them at the same time? Besides, the basis of this entire holiday is bullshit.

Not to mention, it's almost like saying we need a special reason to be together with the people we care about and do nice things for them. Sure, let's just ignore them the rest of the year. As long as you get them something shiny for Christmas, it's all forgiven.
