Wow. That was certainly interesting. I think you caught Nooj's voice pretty damn well. If that had happened to him, I wouldn't picture him acting any differently. I'd love to see some kind of continuation from this plot ^^

Ouch. Poor both of them. :( I like the dynamic between the two of them, and I really like the detail about how the sand makes Nooj have to change filters in his mechanical limbs more often. That little tiny bit makes this so much more real.

Definitely sounds like Nooj, and Rikku is also very much herself. I see an undercurrent of Rikku wishing there were a way for him to stay, but since he can't, and she doesn't think he'd want to if he could, she'd rather just send him away. And I like how he's still unsteady, so shaken by this news that he can't come up with any other way to do "the honorable" thing by her.

I also like how both Gippal and Paine are present throughout this fic even though neither of them actually makes an appearance.
