Oooh. Thank you. I adore cardinals. I actually met some in Austria this summer, in (sadly) a big cage together with all kinds of other species, at a wine tavern.

I thought you might appreciate them. :-) I tried to find an image with a male and female cardinal, and I thought this one was particularly lovely.

I'm glad you got to see some cardinals up close, though I'm sorry to hear that they were in a cage. As cardinals aren't native to Austria, I guess they would have to be kept in captivity.
