That was just wonderful, rusty_armour! Thank you very much! I enjoyed your story. That's what I needed after days of struggling with headaches and heat.
I really liked it. The trio of Loxley, Gisburne and Huntingdon is just great! Brilliant!
Adventure and action - great! I can really imagine it as a TV episode.
There is only one fault - that it is the last of the series. I will miss the adventures of Robin and Guy. And your humor - their verbal skirmishes are just fantastic.

Yes, the day has finally come! \o/

Thank you very much, raven714! :-D I'm so happy that you enjoyed the story and that it was just what you needed on a day like this. It was kind of you to take the time to comment when you're struggling with headaches again. I hope you get a break from your headaches and the heat SOON.

I'm so glad this trio worked for you. I had a LOT of fun writing scenes with the three of them. :-D I hope that other people will enjoy seeing Huntingdon. I tried to give him and Loxley a kind of equal partnership. I didn't want it to seem as if Huntingdon was taking over or just there to rescue them. I did my best to have both Huntingdon and Loxley come up with good ideas and to play an important role.

I'm so glad this trio worked for you. - Yes, it worked for me. :-)
BTW, in case you hadn't guessed, Huntingdon was the special guest that I kept hinting at. *g* - Yeah, of course I guessed it. :-D I may be very slow-witted sometimes, but I really realized this. :-) And believe it or not, but Huntingdon was my tip for that mysterious guest. And also that Herne might have something to do with his appearance in the story.
Of course, I had other tips, but they were highly unlikely.
I probably got a wee bit carried away with the action and adventure, but the stakes were high and I wanted it to show. - I don't see anything wrong with getting carried away a little. And there is nothing wrong with action and ( ... )

I always appreciate comments, raven714! And I'm genuinely grateful when people do take the time to say something about one of my stories. I try to do the same, especially when it comes to works in smaller and/or less popular fandoms. I know what it's like to feel like you're writing in a vacuum, so I think it's important to encourage writers who may not be receiving as much support. The feedback I've received has meant a lot to me, so I try to return the favour when I can. I'm glad that you're pleased when I leave comments on your artwork. It's mostly because I genuinely admire your work, but I also want you to know that your work is appreciated. I try to give you feedback on what I like best, etc. because I think ( ... )

That's okay, karen9 -- not that it actually took you very long to get to it. I only posted it about a week and a half ago. Considering the length of the story, I don't blame you for waiting until it was convenient and/or you were in the right mood for it. I had just assumed that you hadn't had time to read it yet. :-)
I'm not coping well with the lockdown because of the cats at work.
I'm really sorry to hear that. It's got to be hard to be away from them and not have control over their care, etc.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this story. It's exciting, interesting and amusing.
Oh, thank you! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! :-D I certainly tried to make the story exciting and compelling. As usual, I couldn't resist adding humour. I mean, there's a lot of humour in RoS, so it just naturally seems to come across when I'm writing for that universe.

I appreciate your understanding; not many people do.

You're right, but you're one of the few writers who has the gift of instilling this humour into your stories.
It was a lot of fun writing all three of them.
I really enjoyed their interaction, especially Huntingdon and Gisburne!
And I definitely thought of you when Loxley and Gisburne ended up in Scotland. :o) Having the Merries land up in the Scottish court is something I've thought of writing!

That's very kind of you to say! Thank you! :-D I'm flattered that you think the humour has been successful.

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the interaction between Huntingdon and Gisburne! :-D That was interesting to play with. At first, they're very distrustful of each other, but I think Huntingdon cracks fairly quickly and can't help being concerned about his brother. I liked the idea that they bickered a bit like brothers might, even if neither character realized that this was happening. I think Gisburne's distrustful attitude towards Huntingdon does soften a bit, but he doesn't want to admit it. I liked the idea of Loxley trying to play peacemaker at the end and give Huntingdon something ( ... )
