Awww, that's horrible. :( Does it do that if you put it on your arm too? And do the patches work? My husband refuses to put them on, he got a nicotine inhaler and he was using it at the same time as smoking to get a buzz. *Sigh*
He's on 2 packs a day, and with the price of cigarettes in the UK, well, let's say we could go on vacation a few times a year with the money we'd save. He's tried several times to cut down to a pack a day, and sometimes he can do it but mostly he is right back up to 2 packs a day. I wish there was something I could do for him.
The patches are amazing....i have no cravings at all, although I do get a burning/itchy sensation when i put them on...but as for cravings I have had none at all, it's been brilliant...it's just the rash that bothers me, I may have to go down on the strength of them
I hear you ont he cost of stuff in the UK. I grew up in the midlands, near Birmingham (cheaper cost of living than most areas) and my ex used to pay like £4.93 a pack. She used to have a pack a day sometimes 2 depending on how much i stressed her out (her excuse) and the cost mounts Up. roughly £70 / $140 US a week.
Maybe he could try like she did, a Smoking Cessation group thats funded by the government through the NHS??
I might look into it, the patches have worked really well but its just the psychological part that is going to be hard to break through...I might look into doing a group session...
