Or at least it takes a lot for the pleasure of doing experiments on human. I like to think of myself as an objective scholar who observes from above for the lulz and FOR SCIENCE! but apparently I have a masochistic streak too. Otherwise I would not go through this maze. I had a lot of friends who were taking Psychology back in college and I often got roped into being a guinea pig or at least a cohort. Sometimes, I'd get a free can of soda as a thank you (yes, I'm cheap) or get a glimpse of one of the cute psych professors there.

Haha, experiment is not a standard tool of my trade so I'm fiddling around with something new here. Man, it's messy (sorry for my whining). And yeah, student experimenters are not rich. The standard payment here is chocolate. The economists pay a bit better :P
