We've had unseasonally warm weather the last few weeks, after the sudden snap of snow a few weeks back. This weekend should see a return to form, Saturday is expected to reach 3 degrees celsius. YouTube makes the world smarter, it feels to me like the 30 second sound bite may well have mutated into the 5 minute (or longer) YouTube clip.

Yesterday's frost is this morning's snow, (the first October snow in London for 70 years). All my windows face North and it is cold.

This morning we had the first frosts of Winter, beading the cars, whitening fallen leaves to monochrome, liming the church roof slates. Breath thick in the air.

I have walks planned, but I'll have to buy wellington boots...
