You've done a remarkable job here. Your descriptions are apt, clever, and cute.

I'd like to comment on Ben Lee... there are a few of his songs I find absolutely stunning, and a number of songs that strike me as totally mediocre. Because of that inconsistency I haven't bothered to listen to one of his albums in quite awhile. Perhaps I should. The two (early) Ben Lee songs I adore are "Breathing Tornadoes" and "Nothing Much Happens." If you do not know those songs... you should.

The Across the Universe soundtrack would definitely be at the top of my list for albums released in 2007... I don't remember buying any other new albums this year, except for the Sweeney Todd (movie) soundtrack which would probably come in a close second behind Across the Universe.

I really adore Joseph Arthur. I'm sad that I only managed to download a live album of his right before peacing out for two years. If you want it, it's on my family's computer. Talk to my sister.
