Computer difficulties

My laptop will not connect to the internet. Ah! That is the only computer I ever use. This computer is fine, so I don't understand why that one is not. I don't know if I left it plugged in yesterday during a power outage (I wasn't home) or not. Would this cause the connection problems? Everything else seems to be fine from what I can tell.

I've had problems on and off connecting at Graham's place. It seems to sometimes be pickier with the wireless connection. Does your laptop have a small button/pic with a wand type thing with (( )) around it. When it is lit it shows that you're connected. If it isn't lit, it won't allow you to connect. That is the only thing I can think off. Sorry, I'm not great tech support. LOL!

If your other appliances which were plugged in at the same time still work, I wouldn't think that power outage would be causing the current problem with your laptop. I'm just thinking here, I don't think your laptop would even turn on if it got zapped by the power.
