The NCT mag included some sort of specialist company that offered kid-friendly holidays, I think. But I tend to chuck the mag after the briefest of scans, so I don't think I have it to hand any more.

One thing that strikes me about the places we've been is that you might get a place with a highchair and a bed, but if you want to have a safety gate around, you might need to bring your own. E was fascinated by the stairs in our cottage at York.

I did have a whole collection of flyers and leaflets and adverts about kid-friendly holidays, but H has 'tidied' them.

Good tip about the safety gate. I might even get a travel one as it could be useful for a couple of years.

These have good reviews on the Tamba webpage :

Haven't been there but the place looks good :)

Yes it does look good doesn't it. Have bookmarked for future reference.

Will also check out the Tamba webpage. If something gets good reviews from a parent of twins then it'll be more than good enough to meet our requirements.

It all depends on what you're looking for ( ... )

Thanks for the info about Portmeirion.

Trying to work round naps can be a real pain sometimes. I'm trying to use naps as an excuse to catch up on reading and/or stitching.

Thanks also for the links, which I've bookmarked. The babyfriendly boltholes look very stylish - probably for special treat short breaks cos they're not cheap!

Almost exactly what Ruth said :-)

One addition - we've stayed in Lower Villa Winch at Portmeirion, which is all on one level, just a couple of steps up to the front door. One twin/double (can't remember which is which) and one single with plenty of room for a cot. It's in a quiet spot overlooking the main square but off the main route. Upper Villa Winch, which is above it, is identical except for the other of twin/double and reached from the outside by a flight of steepish concrete steps, so less ideal.

We've never had trouble occupying Becca - toddlers don't mind seeing the same things every day for a week, let's face it, if they find a nice looking stone they're happy :-) The worst thing was having to carry her up the hill to the villa if she got tired :-(

Lower Villa Winch looks good so thanks for the tip.

Aled is into sticks! Anything stick-shaped will do, even a drinking straw or (more dangerously) a pen.
