Howard Zinn died today. If you've not read his stuff; run, don't walk to your nearest indie bookstore and see what this great man had to say. He will be missed.

Although I am not really grumpy - more like - it's Friday at 3:51 and I would rather be home right now. But this little youtube makes staying at work with my superior speakers and bigger computer screen well worth it.

I just heard that she lost her fight. She was a very warm presence here on LJ. I loved her posts about her grandson Benjamin and her beautiful flower pics. She fought cancer with grace and humility and humor. I will miss her here on LJ - I can't imagine what her family is going through. betagoddess  you will be missed!
