i love the way these are passed on between families, it's so nice. my dolls at home are wearing a few that my mum knitted for summer. the blue one is gorgeous & and the elephant one & all the stripey ones & the yellow one

oh now i do! :) they are lovely. do you know already the sex of the baby? my friend magduska is going to have a baby girl. it is so excting!

Oh! We don't know the sex of the baby, it shall be a complete surprise. (The midwives & doctors don't "predict" the sex of the baby here in Pori, because they have been mistaken so many times, so it hasn't even been sure!) Oooh, when is your friend going to have the baby if I may ask? :) It truly is exciting to hear about other babies as well!

she has a date on march 13th. so really soon. unfortunately she has to lay in bed till the end of pregnancy.

i like vintage baby clothes a lot, like from the 70's!! i dunno what they're called in english or finnish but 'sparkdräkter' ...pants with 'buildt in socks' and 'suspenders'... eh, well sort of... you have them pictured there! those are cool! and that elephant top is CUTE!! and it reminds me of this designer fabric that seems to be popular now, i have a picture in a interior decoration magazine, if i remember i'll cut it out for you!

I can't think of a name especially for those clothes in Finnish.. Sparkdräkter is a good one. I'm so happy for the elephant top... And you know what... We have more clothing of the same print, just in a bigger size!!! :) Our child will have to be more than 12 months old before s/he can wear those elephant clothes.. Oh I would be curious to see the designer fabric print! These things come around in fun ways... It was a pity to see that in my work place the other people didn't appreciate the vintage clothes & fabrics and just threw them in the garbage because they didn't personally fancy those clothes/fabrics... It made me both angry and heart-broken, I mean really!!! All those nice things thrown away just because they weren't made in the 1990's or 2000's...
