Cleaning out your bookmarks that you've been importing and exporting for six years. It was a big old mess. I could tell what I was doing in college based on my bookmarks, ie. logos, fonts, WW3 pages, stock photos and a shit ton of artist websites. And I had like 5 Rec folders, mostly filled with Sam/Dean fiction recs. Lot's of Big Bang stories and ( Read more... )

Oh man. So about four months ago I rest firefox completely because it had gotten so slow i couldn't use it, and so exported all 5684237825 of my bookmarks. and then when i reinstalled it, i didn't add them back yet because i wanted to sort them out first. which hasn't happened. and now i have about 3567897 bookmarks that i am slowly going through. how does this keep happening?

Supernatural - I still have season seven half watched. I can't remember why i stopped, but it's been so long i feel that i'd have to rewatch the whole thing.

It used to be rec pages were primarily where i got my fic from. Things were so scattered and i could generall tell after a few recs if their likes and mine were going to align. but now it feels liek those have fallen out of favor, and it's so much harder to wade through fic now, or even find it to wade through if it's not on ao3.

I still have a good bit fic's bookmarked under their original LJ posting, but then I go and see if it's on AO3 and bookmark it there if it's available so I don't lose it. I used the memories feature here on LJ quite often. When I was sorting my bookmarks I was wondering where the hell all the Sherlock stuff was, but then I realized I put most of my favs in the memory section of my LJ.

I love going back through this stuff because in most cases, it's been anywhere from 3-5 years since I've read any of it. That's enough time for me to nearly forget all the details and enjoy reading it again. :D
