wedding officiant for june 25, 2011

Hi, our scheduled wedding officiant is unable to perform the ceremony due to health issues. Who can recommend an officiant for a non-religious ceremony on short notice? Our wedding is Saturday, June 25, 2011 right here in beautiful Richmond, Virginia.

Was your original officiant unable to recommend a replacement? That would have been my first outlet.

yeah, he is hospitalized and will undergo emergency heart surgery. i just didn't think it was appropriate to bug about replacements. i only found out about the situation because i am friends with his grandson. :(

Oh, I'm so tickled you liked him! Our wedding was on extremely short notice (something like a day and a half!) and he and his wife simply could not have been more accommodating and wonderful. We got married on Dec. 21 in their home, which was decorated for Christmas and made a beautiful background for photos.
