I've already emailed all of the writers to apologize, but in case anyone's address has changed and you still have the community friended (if not, you're completely justified in leaving and won't be reading this, but I would still like to say it anyway

I just went back and read and reviewed all of them.

One thing really bothered me, though. For quite a few fics up there, the person it was written for didn't even reply to acknowledge they got it and liked it (hopefully). And for one of them, I think, there was no comments at all. :(

That makes me very sad, because I know how much it sucks when you write something for someone and they don't even comment to tell you.. well, anything would suffice at that point, really. I feel bad for the fellow writers, because it seems quite a few people forgot to check back on the fest at all.

Now I know it was a whole year ago, it seems, but perhaps the mod should do some poking? :) Just so people know they got something, and the people who wrote have their work acknowledged by the people who wrote for them.

(Sorry.. Was it not my place to say? I just really felt bad.)

Oh, don't feel bad for saying something! It's perfectly within your rights to do so. :-)

First, though, out of all of the recipients, I actually counted only two who did not take the time to thank the writers who fulfilled their requests-- meaning that most people did leave at least a thank-you. However, I can tell you that, as soon as a fic has been posted, I do email and notify the recipient of it immediately. As a writer myself, I understand how sad it is to labor diligently over something, only to have no one review it, but I honestly don't know what else I can do to encourage fic-reading (especially among non-recipients).

Thank you so very much for caring, and for going back to comment on every story! I just wish I had something more definitive to tell you. :-/
