Cindy and I are going to paint our kitchen because mom is finally going to move all of her stuff out in the next two weeks. Our kitchen is 13' x 15' and the wallpaper in it is a little dated in my opinion. I'll post a pic later tonight of what we are thinking on doing to it ( Read more... )

I think both the green or the gold would look good with the "apple" theme. Our lab, in fact, has one "sage" colored wall, one gold colored wall, and the posts are red and it looks great.

I wish Gordon was more into color.

Actually I just talked to Cindy and she threw something out to me.

We're planning on painting our living room a mustard yellow. What if we switch it to gold in the kitchen walls and use it for the hallway and foyer that is connected to it and change our living room to olive green or sage.

Green has been proven to be a calmer color and that'd be perfect for our living room since our accent pillows have both mustard yellow and olive green in them. Oh! And we can do white wood trim!

Man I keep dripping with ideas!

It's funny, because when we first moved in, Cindy wanted to rip out all the wallpaper and paint the entire house white on the inside and let the accents be done by our furniture and curtains. Well... that's pretty much the story with the house already. She's taking a liking to this whole color business, but its driving my mom mad, she's not a big fan of color. Heh!

I think that sounds great.

If you go to www.behr.com you can use their nifty color matching program to see how it would look. In fact, they may even have the color combination you are looking at as one of their suggestions.
